MARYANN BLAKE
Maryann Blake was recently admitted to practice before the United State Supreme Court. She is also admitted to practice in all Courts in South Carolina including the Federal District Court and Bankruptcy Court. She is also admitted to practice in Georgia. She is dedicated to understanding what results you want and to helping you understand what actions she can take on your behalf. Maryann will work with you to help you understand the choices you make. If she cannot help you, she will refer you to a lawyer who may be able to help you.
Experience
Mrs. Blake has been practicing law in the Lowcountry for over 16 years. She has served as prosecutor for the City of Walterboro since 2016. Maryann has a proven record of service to others through these positions:
- Past Immediate Chair of the Colleton County Registration and Elections Commission.
- Vice Chair for the Colleton County Chamber of Commerce.
- Member of the Colleton County Planning Commission and past member of the Colleton County Board of Assessment Appeals.
- Certified mediator in South Carolina for Civil Court and Family Court.
- Current Member House of Delegates for the South Carolina Bar Association for the 14th Judicial Circuit. At large seat from 2017-2019.
- Member of the South Carolina Bar Board of Governors 2020-23.
- Member of the Commission on Lawyer Conduct for the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
- At-large seat on the board of directors for the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association.
- Past President of the Walterboro Civitans Club.
- Member of the Board of the Colleton County Bar Association.
